Inventor:

Steam powered time evaluator designed by Bernard V. Maets.  This is one of number of time related machines developed by Maets over the years.

Type and Function:

Relative Evaluating Time Over Writer or RETOW for short, was originally designed to  assess the effect of time travel paradoxes generated when traveling to a past time. According to documents discovered with the unit, it allowed Maets to compare alternate displacement problems associated with time travel.  As with most of the Maets time machines, this unit has been altered to display the current time only.

Recovery Site:

This unit was located in an antique clock store in Wilmington North Carolina in 2009. How it came into possession of the store owner is not known at this time.  It had been misidentified as just a simple clock.  The Maets Foundation continues its effort to understand the work of Maets, particularly in the area of time travel.

Principal Investigator:

This object has been recovered, studied and restored by Ed Kidera. Note from Mr. Kidera: “ I have found this item to be excellent at taking me into the future. No luck on the return trip, yet.” Learn more about Ed Kidera
