  • 6.6 lbs / 5” W x 10” H x 12” D

Inventor:

Steam boiler originally designed by Bernard Maets. Unfortunately, Bernard did not believe in patenting his work and our understanding of his incredible work is limited. A number of different units have been recovered.  Some may have once actually worked others may have been developed as models.

Type and Function:

Once this may have been a working steam unit.  It has been converted by the Maets Foundation into a modern use.  This and other similar units now function as holders for external hard disk drives for desktop and laptop computers. They contain a 750 GB hard disk drive that connects to any computer via a USB cable include.  Although the use is modern the look is of a by gone era.  Let your computer look like it is steam powered.

Recovery Site:

Found in a collapsed shed on the Maets property near the main house.

 Principal Investigator:

This object has been recovered, studied and converted by Ed Kidera. Note from Mr. Kidera: “Great to have some extra storage space for the Foundation computers.” More about Mr. Kidera
